Poorly managed domestic waste such as lack of sanitation and inadequate waste management facilities has resulted in serious impact including environmental pollution, landscape damage, and poor health. This study aimed to examine factors associated with household waste management in Nelayan Indah Subdistrict, Medan, North Sumatera. Subjects and Method: This was a cross sectional study conducted at Nelayan Indah Subdistrict, Medan, North Sumatera. A sample of 95 household heads was selected randomly. The dependent variable was management of household waste. The independent variables were knowledge, attitude, and availability of facilities and infrastructure. The data was collected by questionnaire. Bivariate analysis was performed by chi square. Results: Bivariate analysis showed that management of household waste improved with good knowledge, positive attitude, and the availability of facilities and infrastructure.
