For a transparent and seamless transport of ATM traffic, the DSAMA supports a variety of service classes, bit rates, and QoS levels associated with ATM. The DSAMA provides a reliable, predictable aspects of medium access similar to those obtained in time division multiple access (TDMA) but is extended for the support of multirate CBR traffic.
