Integration of a ripple control system for the switching of electric night storage heating in a network control system
There are important reasons for the integration of a subsystem for ripple control in the new computer-supported network control system of the Stadtwerke Dusseldorf. The main task of this ripple control system is the control of the load shares which are caused by night storage heating. An introduction to the basic problems facing operational management is given. After a brief presentation of existing ripple control equipment with the newly created connection to the network control system, an exhaustive report is given on the man-machine interface and the program functions which have been realized. This makes clear the advantages of the new system in comparison to the old. Some indications are given of possible future extensions.<>
