Application of nullors in designing analog circuits for bandwidth
Given an analog circuit and a model frequency response, the article presents a methodology to modify the circuit to achieve the model response, as close as possible. The method works for both linear and nonlinear circuits using nullors. Although the scope of the work can be generalized and cover a wide range of cases, but this study limits itself to the bandwidth of amplifiers/filters using one nullor only. The assumption is that a two terminal sub-circuit must be found so that the inclusion of this two terminal to the amplifier/filter will cause the frequency response of the circuit to get close to a desired one. Examples show both ways of expanding and shrinking of the bandwidth in amplifiers.
