Free-Space Optical Communication System for Industrial Vehicles Using Two Types of Optical Fibers
We propose herein a new optical light communication system for rail-guided industrial vehicles using two types of optical fibers as downlink/uplink communication lines. This system aims to realize a high-speed realtime communication for such vehicles. We explain herein the concept of this system and report on a basic evaluation of the communication quality. The results show that the system can be adequately applied to high-speed mobile communication.
