Research on Arc Test in Oil Chamber of Vacuum On-load Tap-changer for Converter Transformer

In this paper, according to the fault of oil chamber rupture caused by electrical fault of vacuum on-load tap-changer of converter transformer, in order to verify the mechanical strength of the oil chamber, arc test of the oil chamber was carried out. The test results prove that the mechanical strength of the new structure of oil chamber meets the engineering requirements under the specified arc energy requirement, and the operating characteristics of the non-electrical protection device are obtained.
