Science subjects go to the background and geosciences are no exception. The study presents the possibilities of using the latest IT technologies, especially augmented reality as a tool to increase the attractiveness of the study of geosciences. With the help of the project, an educational material cooperating with augmented reality was created and subsequently it was tested on a sample of students studying at primary schools. The results are evaluated at the end of the paper, where solutions are also proposed to increase the attractiveness of the study of geosciences.
