DIENTE SUPERNUMERARIO IMPACTADO EN REGIÓN ANTERIOR DEL MAXILAR. Reporte de un Caso

Introduction: Supernumerary teeth are considered a numerical disorder or anomaly. This anomaly can cause impacts, diastema, ectopic rash, cysts, among others. Clinical Case: Female adolescent of 13 years, went to the dental office for lack of the front tooth, examinations were made to verify the agenesis of tooth 21 and a supernumerary element even in the jaw region. The treatment plan that consisted of a surgical approach was indicated. Discussion: Supernumerary teeth occur most frequently in the maxilla. It can prevent the eruption of adjacent permanent or cause ectopic eruption, leading to crossbite in the region and diastema. Although the initial plan was to extract the supernumerary and evaluate its subsequent implantation in the agendasic site, it could not be achieved due to the angulation and presence of incomplete roots. We opted for the complete removal of the supernumerary with indication of orthodontics and prosthetics.
