Boss and Binswanger's existential phenomenologies are to my knowledge some of the few therapy concepts that integrate theory and practice concerning every aspect of human existence into one inter-subjective biopsychosocial entity. This introduction to Binswanger's Umwelt, Mitwelt, and Eigenwelt in combination with Boss so called existentials offers a systematic way for counselors, therapists, and people working with rehabilitation to understand why any client regardless of the character of his or her symptoms (somatic, psychological, or psychiatric) is also always challenged, more or less, by life and existence on a more existential level.
