Real Time Analysis of Telephone Conversation to Detect and Prevent Attacks in Nigeria

Nigeria is a country with wide spectrum of ethnic groups with a population of about 195 million. The country has been having security challenges such as Insurgency, Arm banditry, Cattle rustling, Kidnapping, Political thugs, among others which leads to loss of lives and properties. The most occurring and challenging is the insurgencies that spread into many parts (Borno, Adamawa, Yobe etc) of the country. It has been a quite challenge to the security forces to track down and/or to prevent any insurgency before it occurs. This proposal tends to address these challenges by analysing the phone conversations through telecommunication networks to prevent the attack before it occurs. The analyser engine is to be developed which processes the most common spoken languages (English, Hausa, Yaruba, and Igbo) in the country and passes it to inference engine for decision making. The inference engine qualifies the processed conversions as either threats or not. If found to be suspected, a notification will be sent to the security forces to investigate and/or prevent.
