Basic frictional angle generates various results in accordance with mineral composition, apart from rock surface roughness itself. This paper describes the correlation of basic frictional angle and mineral composition. The basic frictional angle is measured with the aid of the modified tilt testing apparatus, and its reliability is improved by the statistical method.
