Digital beamforming of multiple simultaneous beams for improved target search
This paper describes several digital beamforming radar techniques for improving target detection and determination of the angular location of a target using multiple simultaneous received beams. These techniques improve target search and angle estimation performance over the conventional monopulse processing in the elimination of beam-shape loss.
