AYDEDE 1922-1

The magazine called "Aydede", on which we made some evaluations, is a publication that he personally published and wrote articles and anecdotes during the armistice period. When evaluated as a whole, “Aydede” actually met with the reader in two different publication periods. The first publication period of the journal was realized in 1922 by publishing a total of 90 issues. The second broadcasting period started in 1948, 10 years after the end of Refik Halit's second exile, and ended in 1949. In other words, the journal was published on different dates in a total of 3 years. Turkologist Prof. Dr. Articles and anecdotes written by Refik Halit in this journal by Mustafa Apaydın were published in three different books, under the names "Aydede 1922-1", "Aydede 1948-2", "Aydede 1949-3". In this review, various evaluations were made about the work named “Aydede 1922-1” prepared for publication by Apaydın. As it is known, the year we are in is the 100th Anniversary of the Great Offensive. A noticeable increase in the number of events and publications related to the Great Offensive is expected. For this reason, 1922, when the military phase of the National Struggle was crowned with a decisive victory, needs to be interpreted from many fronts. At this point, we believe that it would be extremely beneficial to bring the magazine "Aydede", which was published by Refik Halit and had a total of 90 issues in its first publication period, to the agenda again. It is obvious that "Aydede" will set an excellent example in understanding the view of the intellectuals of Istanbul on the National Struggle in the period exactly 100 years ago, and the political and military developments experienced in Anatolia and Istanbul throughout this year. “Aydede” is a publication that was followed closely both in Anatolia and in Istanbul around the palace during this publication period. This shows that the magazine is given importance by many neighborhoods.
