IP Address Space Management using Aggregated Fixed Length Subnet Masking
In this paper we have proposed a new technique of subnetting for class C IP addresses to minimize the wastage of address space. Different techniques such as Fixed Length Subnet Masking (FLSM) and Variable length Subnet Masking (VLSM) are discussed and a new technique, Aggregated Fixed Length Subnet Masking (AFLSM) is proposed. The discussion is concluded with the comparison of these techniques and it is shown that our technique yields minimum address space wastage.
