Comparative Study of a Novel E-patch Antenna Loaded with Slot Split-Ring Resonators on Different Distance of Superstrate
The idea in this manuscript is to design a new form of Micro strip Patch antenna inspired by an ordinary patch antenna resonating at 2.45GHz for radio frequency identification (RFID) applications. Indeed, a special importance is given to a new and coherent form of E-patch based, also, on a new E-shaped SRR of meta-material placed on a superstrate. It is shown that by implementing innovative split ring resonators into the design, there is simultaneous gain and bandwidth improvement to 7.5 dbi and 150 MHz. The results in terms of gain, radiation pattern and return loss are analyzed in detail, which allows us to develop a comparative study according to the distance separating the proposed antenna and the ESRR placed in the superstrate. The simulation of this proposed antenna is done using transient solvers of CST Microwave Studio.
