It has been established that both countries have experienced the same difficulties in the issues concerning formation of professional competence in future chemical technology bachelors at higher education institutions, namely the lack of professional skills (communicative, creative, critical and ethical thinking, teamwork, and leadership skills), the lack of skills in interdisciplinary problem solving, the absence of independent learning skills, as well as a smaller share of the practical component in the university training compared with the theoretical one.
