Service Location Protocol (SLP) provides a dynamic way to search for the location of available services and service information in the environment. Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is an application layer signaling protocol. SIP is used to create, modify and terminate multimedia sessions. We improved SIP to support streaming service, and discover the streaming service using SLP.
