The different modulation techniques considered here are half frequency, Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) and Flat top. The various parameters analysed for this selection are efficiency, torque ripple and Total Harmonic Distortion (THD). The machine is allowed to run at different speeds and torques for each of the modulation techniques to analyze the effects on efficiency, torque ripple and THD. Then based on the results proper modulation technique is selected at different regions of speed-torque characteristics.
