According to SDKI 2012, sectio caesarean section in Indonesia is 912,000 out of 4,039,000 or 22.8% of all childbirth. Lampung Province in 2013 according to Riskesdas about 4.5%. Preliminary survey results at Rsud Jend Ahmad Yani Metro there are 181 (47%) sectio caesarean patients. A common problem after sectio caesarean section is pain. The study aimed to identify the effect of a combination of deep breath techniques and lemon aromatherapy on the decrease in pain intensity of post sectio caesarean patients. The research was conducted from March to May 2020. Quasy experiment research design with non-equivalent control group design. This type of quantitative research uses purposive sampling techniques. Population of post sectio caesarea clients. Data collection using observation sheet 0-10 Numeric Pain Intensity Scale. The research was conducted descriptive analysis and normality test then conducted Paired Test and T-independent test. The results showed an average pain in the post intervention control group of 6.69. While post intervention pain intervention group 5.00. Obtained p-value of 0.001 shows the difference in pain scale of both control and intervention groups.
