Kobylińska-Masiejewska worked as a teacher all her life, and debuted as novelist in interwar Vilnius, where she created numerous portraits of students in teacher’sdiaries Świat w szkole and Pamiętnik nauczycielki and fiction for teenager’s readers; however, she did not try to create a novel aimed for girls at this time.
