As a result of these studies huge volume of statistical data is accumulated. To process this information various software tools are used ranging from Excel to such BI applications as IBM SPSS, Statistica, SAS e.t.c. However, the use of these applications requires the user to have knowledge of statistical methods and to be sophisticated user. In addition, these applications are proprietary and any changes of the software require special permissions from vendors. In this paper, we propose the specialized software is named SmartMed system for analyzing medical data for doctors and medical experts. To provide the economical viability the system is implemented using free and low cost software.
