And, we implemented Mesh RAID using VLSD. Mesh RAID is not tolerant of only disk fault but also tolerant of string fault. In addition, we also proposed Composite RAID, which is an easy implementation of complex RAID system by combining VLSD classes. We also implemented Composite RAID based Mesh RAID. In this paper, we propose another implementation of Mesh RAID based on Alternate Disk, which chooses any implementation from all implementations dynamically. 摘要
近年来,对低成本大规模存储的需求不断增加。我们开发了VLSD (Virtual Large Scale Disks,虚拟大规模磁盘)工具包,用于构建基于分布式存储的虚拟磁盘,将单个磁盘的空闲空间聚合在一起。但是,为了构建大规模存储,大于或等于3个容错RAID是很重要的。在之前的工作中,我们提出了一种3容错正交的网状RAID。并且,我们使用VLSD实现了Mesh RAID。网状RAID不仅可以容错磁盘,还可以容错字符串。此外,我们还提出了组合RAID,通过组合VLSD类,可以轻松实现复杂的RAID系统。我们还实现了基于复合RAID的Mesh RAID。在本文中,我们提出了另一种基于备用磁盘的网状RAID实现,它动态地从所有实现中选择任何实现。该实现结构简单,性能良好。
