Global warming caused due to emission of greenhouse gases has led to a transition from usage of conventional vehicles to electric vehicles (EV). The growing trend of electrification of the transport system along with the demand of EVs have led the researchers to find optimal location of the EV charging stations in a distribution network. Distribution networks are characterized by high resistance to reactance ratio. This work presents how the technical, economic & environmental benefits of a radial distribution network can be improved by optimal allocation of EV charging station.
