A Continuous Double Auction (CDA) structure is used to allow power trading. As a case example, the electrical operation of a neighborhood of 40 houses is used, and various scenarios with different photovoltaic (PV) installation penetration levels are analyzed. Results suggest the potential benefits of the use of this type of eP2P exchange structures, which include but are not limited to: savings on electricity bills, better use of renewable sources and reduction in energy storage systems (ESS) utilization.
