With single voltage sensor, speed of BLDC drive fed from voltage source inverter (VSI) can be controlled along with the input power factor correction (PFC). Rectification of AC voltage into DC voltage is achieved by using bridge rectifier which designed to operate in discontinues conduction mode. With simple control, both regulation of load voltage and improved power factor correction at source side can be achieved. By controlling DC link voltage of inverter circuit, desired speed operation of BLDC can be attained.
