In the current research, the candidate position of automation terminal is usually only on the main feeder line, and the impact of the installation of distribution automation terminal on branch lines on reliability are ignored. In this paper, the optimization configuration strategy of the distribution network automation terminal considering the branch line is studied. Firstly, the calculation method of user power outage time in different fault scenarios of distribution network is introduced. Secondly, the optimal configuration model of distribution automation terminal aiming at economic optimization is established. The model is established as a mixed integer linear programming model, which can be solved quickly by the commercial solver CPLEX.
