HSV (type 1 and type 2) belongs to the family of DNA viruses. The new generation of antiviral drugs promises to provide more successful management of viral diseases. Acyclovir, an analogue of viral deoxyguanosine, is an inhibitor of viral DNA and viral DNA polymerase. The aim of the present study was to evaluate to efficacy of the Virolex ointment, an acyclovir preparation manufactured by KRKA Novo mesto, in the treatment of labial herpes. The results show that Virolex is a highly effective agent. If started in the initial phase of infection it can prevent the development of herpetic lesions. 摘要
单纯疱疹病毒(HSV)的反复感染，发生在多达20%的人口中，经常干扰牙科治疗。HSV(1型和2型)属于DNA病毒家族。新一代抗病毒药物有望更成功地治疗病毒性疾病。无环鸟苷是病毒脱氧鸟苷的类似物，是病毒DNA和病毒DNA聚合酶的抑制剂。本研究的目的是评价由KRKA Novo mesto公司生产的一种无环鸟苷制剂Virolex软膏治疗唇疱疹的疗效。结果表明，Virolex是一种高效药剂。如果在感染的初始阶段开始，它可以防止疱疹性病变的发展。与用于治疗唇疱疹的其他抗病毒药物相比，阿昔洛韦治疗的持续时间较短。
