Whether the location of the project is correct or not, is of vital importance in the whole process of real estate development until the sales. This paper applies GIS software to site selection of resi-dential development project. Based on the spatial statistical methods, aimed at site selection model of residential project, this paper takes Zhuhai city center as the research object, and based on land use planning, discusses the importance of GIS technology in site selection of real estate development project from three important indexes: transportation convenience degree, population concentration degree, and house prices level.
