Firstly, the sideband voltage harmonics with the periodic modulation strategies are derived analytically. And then, the selection criterion of the extension frequency width is given. Finally, the characteristics of the sideband noise with different periodic frequency modulation (PCFM) strategies are analyzed and compared. The results show that the periodic modulation strategies can suppress the sideband noise at the full speed range.
