In this paper we consider designing precoding matrices and blind channel estimation algorithms for MIMO single carrier with frequency domain equalization (MIMO-SC-FDE) systems. By deriving the relationship between the MIMO orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) and MIMO-SC-FDE, the theories for precoding and channel estimation for MIMO-OFDM can be directly used for MIMO-SC-FDE. Based on this, several new precoding matrices are designed and tested. The proposed precodings will not affect the power of the precoded block.
