This paper aims to critically appraise the importance of a company's competitive advantage and its role in formulating a company's strategy. It is a descriptive and conceptual analysis based on a literature review emphasizing strategic success tools such as Competitive Profile Matrix (CPM), for producing factors of achieving competitiveness in the fiercely competitive market. This research was conducted for three months from September 2019 to November 2019. The research method used was a descriptive approach using a scholarly–made questionnaire based on related literature and studies. The respondents of the study were the three (3) selected drug stores located at Jaen, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. Findings have shown that the drug store owner–respondents strongly agreed that products offer, financial strategy and location as strategic success factors. Furthermore, the respondents also agreed that company reputation, people or employee motivation and promotional strategy werealso factors for the company to be successful. 7. 摘要
