This Radar works around 2.4 GHz. The Cantennas are made of cans acting as circular antennas. In order to improve the range of the Radar, a parametric study is implemented to optimize the matching and radiation features of these antennas. This study mainly consists in tuning the length and the width of the Cantennas so as to reduce the return loss (S11). These antennas were tested with the Doppler SDR radar. These tests allow getting the antenna which can yield accurate evaluation of the velocity of a fan propeller in a large range.
