The comparison based on the Renyi criterion is achieved on synthetic as well real-life data. In particular, our application is made on the real consonant-vowel transition that represents a very good example for nonstationary case and speech application. We show that a recently proposed TFD give a high time–frequency resolution with suppressing the undesirable cross-terms in the multicomponent signal. 1.
