Dynamic Changes of the Colour Intensity of Collected Urine as a Basis for a Distant Uroflowmetry
In this study, we demonstrate the informative significance of the color intensity variation within the experimental voiding for parameters calculation of the urine flow and propose an easy method to record such data with a smartphone camera. The Bouguer-Lambert law was used to determine the height of the urine column in the reservoir. The time dependence of urination volume velocity was used to reconstruct the uroflowmetric curve. For the processing of video data, the multiscale gradient method was used. The accuracy of the proposed approach was tested on different models of smartphones.
