The control strategy is based on the notion that the three-phase line currents can be forced to trace a deterministic waveform such as a sinusoid by considering its implicit model in the controller structure. The modulating template waveform is shown to be based on segments of a tangent waveform and is generated using the line voltage, the rectifier output voltage and the load current.
