Similarly, the utilization of rare earth magnets in brushless dc motors and permanent magnet synchronous motors increases the cost of construction. The synchronous reluctance motor is a suitable replacement for existing electric motors because of the absence of high-cost rare earth magnets and simple construction with easy maintenance. This paper proposes the dynamic behavior of synchronous reluctance motors using the d-q model for electric propulsion. The direct and quadrature axis inductance values are obtained from the 2D model of synchronous reluctance motor and it is introduced in the d-q model as look-up tables. The motor design parameters are influenced by several electric vehicle characteristics such as weight, size, speed, and gradient. The performance of the developed synchronous reluctance motor is analyzed by variation in output parameters such as torque and speed concerning the input parameters. 摘要
