To counter knowledge loss, the strategy of knowledge retention can be applied to retain critical knowledge. The lack of such strategies may affect the organizational performance. In the effort to strategize knowledge retention, this paper presents a review on relevant knowledge retention frameworks in the search of a relevant, applicable and complete knowledge retention framework that can be applied in knowledge intensive organization. In the review, the technology, people and process (TPP) framework was used to analyze the knowledge retention frameworks.
