Theaimofthisarticleistoimprovetheexistingwaterdischargesystemforreducetheheatload onthereservoir-coolerofthethermalpowerplantsoperation(EkibastuzSDPP-1).Inthisarticle, thermalpollutionusingonlytwowaterdischargepipes,usingtheexistingoneandbuildingonlyone additionalintheeasternpartofthereservoir-coolerisnumericallysimulated.Thenumericalmethodis basedontheprojectionmethod,whichwasapproximatedbythefinitevolumemethod.Theobtained numericalresultsofthree-dimensionalstratifiedturbulentflowfortwowaterdischargepipesunder variousoperationalcapacitiesofthethermalpowerplantwerecomparedwithexperimentaldataand withthenumericalresultsforonewaterdischargepipe.
