Based on the model of casual turnover this study assessed the direct effect of organizational commitment on job burnout. The cross sectional data was collected from three hundred five nurses of psychiatric hospitals in Punjab, Pakistan. Structural equation modeling was applied to achieve the objectives. The results revealed that only and normative commitment have significant impact while affective commitment and continuous commitment has not significant effect on nurse’s job burnout.  So, the commitment of nurse to hospital goals, missions, and values is not enough to predict her job burnout in the hospital. This study recommends that future researchers should examine the impact of work environment on job burnout as a unidimensional . 摘要

职业倦怠问题在亚洲国家日益成为一个重要的现象。本研究基于偶然离职模型,评估组织承诺对工作倦怠的直接影响。横断面数据收集自巴基斯坦旁遮普精神病医院的350名护士。采用结构方程建模方法实现了这一目标。结果显示,只有和规范承诺对护士工作倦怠有显著影响,而情感承诺和持续承诺对护士工作倦怠无显著影响。因此,护士对医院目标、使命和价值观的承诺不足以预测其在医院的工作倦怠。本研究建议未来研究者应将工作环境对工作倦怠的影响作为一个单向度来考察。这项研究对社会和经济都有贡献。
