They are used in the generation of the wavelet function by applying the filter implementation method. They are also used in the computation of DWT coefficients algorithms such as the Mallat algorithm implemented by filter banks. These filters coefficients are commonly computed from Daubechies wavelet bases. In this paper, we present another method for the design of scaling and wavelet filters based on the FIR and IIR PR-QMF bank satisfying the regularity condition.
