The surface roughness of the layer was analyzed as a function of the laser treatment parameters and the trajectory of beam motion. The experimental design method and the statistic program were also applied for functional description of the analyzed dependences. As results, an increase in the surface smoothness and microstructures responsible for high hardness were achieved due to appropriate combination of treatment parameters.
