Health Profile on 2019, the number of Maternal Mortality in Bali is 67.7 per 100.000 live births. Factors that have impact on increasing Maternal Mortality are Four risk ( too young, too old, too close, too many). Post-placenta intra-uterine device (AKDR) contraception program is an innovative strategy to suppress mother mortality rate. In Tabanan regency usage rate of AKDR was extremely low 1,20% in 2020. Therefore, the aim of this research is to understand the relation between knowledge and motivation of post-placenta AKDR usage upon the third-mester pregnancy population at UPTD Puskesmas (Public health centre facilities) Penebel I in the year of 2021. The research predominantly based on correlational-analytical under cross-sectional approach. There are 38 pregnant women designated as sample. Purposive sampling technique was used in this research. Then, Rank Spearman test was used to analyze the data, due to the distribution of the data was not following the normal distribution criterion. The result shows that, 26.3% respondents have good knowledge, 63.2% have enough knowledge and 10.5% have low knowledge, then 78.9% have high motivation, 21.1% have fairly enough motivation then there is a relation between knowledge and motivation of AKDR user with the significantcy value of 0.001 and the correlation coefficient is 0,499.
