Studies have shown that after applying a thermal pulse, abundant heterocharge accumulates on the low-temperature side, causing electric field distortion. Accumulated charges and distorted electric fields recover after cooling for a while. And the thicker the LDPE, the faster the heterocharge builds up at cathode.
