The main factors of development and changes in the methods of combat use of UAVs are analyzed. The basic patterns and connections of the process of development of methods of joint use of UAVs, the area of conditions for the expedient use of groups of UAVs are highlighted. The scientific problem of the stochastic synthesis of the automated control system for the group application of UAVs, as one of the problems of modern control theory and technical cybernetics, is substantiated and formalized.
