This paper explores the R&D input and innovation output of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei high-tech industry and finds that the R&D input and innovation output of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei high-tech industry have steadily increased in recent years. However, compared with other provinces in China, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is in the middle reaches of the country, lagging behind areas with more developed high-tech industry such as Guangdong and Jiangsu.
