Polarization control with two-dimensional coupled photonic crystal microcavity arrays
We measured band diagrams of two-dimensional coupled-photonic crystal microcavity arrays and obtained group velocity below 0.008c. A strong polarization sensitivity is observed with rotationally asymmetric structures, which can be used in polarizing mirrors and sensors.
