Such a necessity is particularly perceived in the industrial sector, not only because of the increasing costs of energy, but also as a consequence of the global competition, which stresses some features of the process and its final products. This force to study the equipment utilization and loading of the equipment for the application. Particularly the steel rolling mill motors are bigger in size and load on these mill stand motors not continuous but the cooling system of these motors operated at full load irrespective of the heat generation. Study of the load pattern shows the significant potential to reduce the energy consumption by operating the cooling blowers smartly by using the PLC.
