How to achieve the flexible control of the dynamic business processes has been becoming an important research topic. Based on the analysis of the current research, an improved role network model (RNM) is presented firstly. Then, an RNM based flexible control approach of the dynamic business processes is proposed. Finally, based on the improved RNM, a modelling tool and the working procedure of the business process control engine are presented. The proposed method has been applied in some practical e-government projects.
