Representation of saturation in transformer model used in wind turbines simulator
Mathematical model of transformer saturation usually employs a variable magnetizing inductance. This paper presents a novel method of magnetizing inductance determination of a transformer using simulation of the transformer at no load. The proposed method is based on a comparison between the data gained from no-load test (RMS values of voltage and current) and adequate data calculated in the simulation. Simulation results presented at the end of this paper show a good correspondence with the measurement on three-phase two-winding transformer and hence prove the correctness of this method.
