Analysis revealed that the resume books recommended including the resume content items that were preferred by the personnel administrators. However, rather than recommending definite exclusion or inclusion of item personnel administrators referred not to see on resumes, the books tended not to mention these items or made conditional recommendations. The implications of the major research findings are discussed and additional research is recommended.
